Injection Blow Molding: Precision and Reliability for the Production of plastic containers

Injection blow molding is a plastic transformation technology used primarily for the production of high-quality bottles and containers. It differs from other manufacturing processes because it combines two techniques: injection molding and blow molding, ensuring precision, strength, and excellent transparency of the finished packaging products.
The injection blow molding process, as mentioned, consists of two main phases: preform injection molding and preform blow molding. In the first phase, the plastic material, usually PE – PP or PET, is melted and placed into a mold to create a preform. The preform, which forms the basis of the future container, is then «blown,» meaning it is heated and transferred to a second mold.
Here, in the injection blow molding lines, the preform is inflated using compressed air until it adheres perfectly to the internal walls, assuming the final shape of the container, be it a bottle, a container for cosmetics and pharmaceutical products.
